C5 Rodeo Company Inc. was founded in 2010 by Vern McDonald and has since grown to two locations in Lac La Biche, Alberta, and Helena, Montana which span just over 8500 acres combined. With over 150 top-quality mares and 20 stallions in our breeding program, C5 Rodeo Company is one of North America’s largest stock providers, running over 700 head of horses and 100 bucking bulls. Providing services to events at over 30 locations worldwide, C5 Rodeo Co. understands the intricacies of world-class stock services and quality production services. Having acquired a team who possess unique and invaluable experience in the rodeo world, C5 Rodeo Co. takes pride in over-all customer experience. We are recognized in the world of rodeo for our new and innovative approach to rodeo production.
It was an easy decision for Vern McDonald to set down roots for C5 Rodeo Co. in the state of Montana to establish a US base nine years ago. The cowboy culture that is still instilled in Montana today, inspires and allows for innovation and growth of the sport of rodeo. Contributing to the future of our sport is a part of our passion and is extremely important to the C5 Rodeo team. We are proud to be a part of various rodeo schools and weekly rodeo team practices at Montana State University, Bozeman, Montana, and Lakeland College, Vermillion, Alberta. Annually, we donate horses, time, and trucking to help young and upcoming cowboys excel in rough stock events. We also take pride in working with the MSU Rodeo in serving as the stock contractor for the MSU Bobcats Spring Rodeo and work with the college team to bring forth one of the top-produced college rodeos in the nation. In central Alberta, C5 Rodeo Co. works hand in hand with the Olds College rodeo team providing them the opportunity to be involved in the arena crew and production of the Oldstoberfest professional rodeo. We also believe in supporting young women in rodeo, and currently contribute to the Miss Rodeo Canada organization. C5 Rodeo Co. also supports youth through our sponsorship and commitment to the Alberta and Montana High School Rodeo Associations.
